Not one of my best photos, but I thought on my way to picking up my time capsule at the Apple Store I would snap a shot after a pit stop. The Apple Store at the mall doesn’t have it’s own rest room but I would love an Apple Store PR photo if anyone wants to take one.

On Saturday I went to the Clark Museum in Williamstown, MA. There’s a lot of good work there, I really like looking at the John Singer Sargents. He used pure white paint in a lot of his paintings. Something most painters never did and he did it so well. The bathroom was very blaa and small for a museum. I have a feeling I wasn’t in the main bathroom, but maybe an employee one.

I spent the weekend at a monoprinting workshop. It was a great workshop. I’ll post my favorite print on Farmidable when I get a good picture of it. In the meantime here’s a photo of the bathroom at Zea Mays. It was long and narrow and had large widows that let in a lot of light. This image was taken in the evening but because of the windows it  still has adequate light.

So here I am at the Fletcher Memorial Library in Ludlow, VT, waiting while Meg does two art workshops for the local elementary school.

Some things I am doing to kill the time.

    1. Visit Ski Shops and buy nothing but pretend that I might when talking to people (did it at three places).
    2. Work on a pesky html error on Farmidable. (I did fix it)
    3. Take a PR shot.

Tomorrow Meg and I are headed up to Smugglers Notch for some cold cold skiing. Check back later for a PR shot there.

I took this photo at a indie craft fair in BCA Cyclorama building in Boston, MA. There was a lot great hand made stuff at the fair. The bathrooms were very industrial and had high ceilings. I thought it was cool that the plumbing was in front of the mirrors.

The Lobster Cooker restaurant has sold over 1 million lobsters. I don’t like lobster. I had the clam chowder. It was pretty good.

Because this restroom was such a revolving door of retired RVers and travelers like myself I only had a 15 second window to get a good shot without someone walking in on my and thinking I’m some sort of weirdo. Still this ended up being one of my more interesting shots.

This is the first of a hand full of PR photos I took while on vacation in the great state of Maine. The Portland Museum of Art had some amazing work, my favorites being a collection of Julia Mararget Cameron’s work and a collection of N.C. Wyeth paintings.

Billings Farm & Museum was established in 1871 and is still a working dairy farm today. As a kid I must have taken five of six school trips there. When Meg and I went we got to see border collies herding sheep, baby cows, some giant horses and the restored farm house.

This is the first from a few places I visited when making a trip home to where I grew up in VT. This shot is from Who Is Sylvia, a vintage and antique clothing, linens and lace shop in Woodstock. Who Is Sylvia has been serving individuals, theaters, museums, photographers and collectors since 1980. Meg and I biked around downtown and checked out a few shops which explains my garb. I’m sporting some great contrapposto as well as some love for Sylvia’s shop coming out of my head. I wish Sylvia had a website but unfortunately the best I can give you is this link to the address and contact info.

My wife and I went looking for small storage boxes. When you have something in mind that you want but can’t find it anywhere it can be really frustrating. With a last ditch effort we tried the Christmas Tree Shops. It was fruitless as well. We lost the battle that day. But the storage box war rages on.

My  wife and I were chosen to volunteer for Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Even though there wasn’t much for us volunteers to do during our shift, it was great to see the house being built. I think the episode is airing September 27.  See more photos here (the first photo on this page shows my wife, the other volunteers and I watching the build).

As many of you know, my wife and I just bought a new house. For curiosities’ sake we stopped in to Raymore & Flanigan, a furniture store, to see if they had anything in the realm of modern design. Talking to a sales person I soon realized they did not. The first clue was that they didn’t know the difference between modern and contemporary. That’s not a put down for R&F or the sales person. Just a signal that R&F isn’t our type of store.

After a great weekend at Art All State my wife and I went to the Flying Rhino in Worcester, MA. I got clam chowder and a burger that had prosciutto on it.  The Bathroom was surrounded by a snake painted on the walls.
